Seeking aQualified, Experienced Chef & Assistant Manager for busy site in Nerang,Qld Full-time Monday –Saturday some flexibility Reports to: Café Owner Required experience and skills: o Experience preparing seasonal menu items and changing menus o Experience cooking in café or small restaurant o Ability to prepare simple menu o Ability to work both independently and as part of a team o Ability to train and support a diverse staff and volunteers thatinclude teens, community volunteers and work experience trainees o Conflict resolution skills o Basic Microsoft Office skills o Strong organizational and communication skills o Ability to lift up to 20 kilograms o Ability to multi task and work in an active anddynamic environment Preferred experience and skills: o Barista knowledge or experience o Experience working with whole foods o Experience cooking from scratch o Spatial organization o Experience with food purveying o Inventory management skills o Experience managing kitchen order and minimize foodwaste. General Duties/Responsibilities: 1. Cook to order breakfast menu 2. Prep for lunch menu 3. Cook to order lunch menu 4. Open and set up café properly daily 5.
