i would like to share some of my thoughts with you guys. I have been here for 7 years and I think the welfare in Australia looks good but actually is not as good as we think. The fairness in the society is based on the unfairness. Why? We all know that the more money you make, the more tax you pay, so the people who are able to work can choose not to as they can get money from the government, whereas these money come from the people who work. We see free public facilities everywhere like parks, lakes, play grounds for citizens to use which we can not find in China. However, the money to build these things all come from us, especially from those who make the most fortune in the country.
In Australia, liberalism is the ideology they adopt and freedom is the upmost thing in the country. This is why we call it fair and free. However, it seems that it might not look that fair when comparing one person who works really hard with another lazy one, as the lazy one is taking the welfare from the former person. Can we call this fair? In China, sometimes you can not get what you really deserve after you have contributed your energy into your work, but the good side is that you only get what you deserve if you work hard, which is not very important in Australia as said before, due to the social welfare.
China is getting better and better nowadays and will always be the best market in the world as we have the largest population. Most of us can ignore the political impact on work and life as it will not affect you that much if you are just doing your own thing at your working place to some extent.
Anyway, I recommend young people to give a deep thought before you rush into the queue to apply for Australian citizens as this is not a good place for young people to develope. You might retire when you are before 30 years of age.
That was my personal opinion. Thank you for reading if you have already read to the end. |
