市政府要求保障第4学期的各学校周边安全

布里斯班市政府正在持续开展确保儿童安全的活动，通过计划于第四学期布里斯班60所学校大力改善交通状况，以减少拥堵并提高安全性。

   

基础设施主席艾曼达·库珀（Cr Amanda Cooper）呼吁学校社区参与到政府的学校安全活动中，并帮助创建更安全的学区。

     

“让学生安全地往返学校是政府的首要任务，这就是为什么我们要让驾驶者时刻注意。我们将在第四学期期间到各学校阻止非法停车行为，原因是这会让我们的孩子处于危险之中”，库珀说。

“市政府一直通过交通管理计划与学校合作，以提高学校安全，该计划确定交通阻塞点，让学校和政府更好地管理这些问题，从而保证学生安全。”

     

“目前布里斯班约四分之一的学校已完成交通管理计划，47所学校得以安全升级，在这些学校中，非法停车和交通拥堵都有所减少，最终为学生提高了安全性。”

     

“我们希望每所学校都有一个量身定制的计划，以便在接送时间内能更有效地管理停车，这样我们就可以升级路标、创建路边停车区等，并调整停车限制以满足学校的需求。”

     

“市政府还将投资升级行人和自行车设施，如改善交叉路口、安全岛和儿童行道等，以及公共汽车和社会车辆设施，包括公共汽车停靠区和两分钟即停区域。”

   

库珀表示，来自布里斯班60所学校的家长和校长已列入政府的高频停车巡查名单，以防止父母危险违章停车。

     

“车辆堵塞车道、停在黄线上、妨碍行人通行可见度、以及把车停在即停区是学校最关心的问题，这使学生过马路更加危险，并造成不必要的交通堵塞”她说。

     

“在第三学期的335次巡查中，政府收到了数百个要求强制停车的请求，497名驾驶者被发现违规因非法停车而使我们的孩子处于危险之中。”

     

“道路安全是为了保护我们孩子的生命安全，同时我们都在保护社区安全的基础上发挥着重要作用。”

     

“本财政年度，市政府投资近300万澳元以确保学校周边的学生安全，包括学校通行行动计划（Active School Travel）、学校交通区域升级和安装速度感应器等。”
