【求助】如果COE因为挂科、选错课而未在期限内完成，便不能续签？？求助各位知情人！

我现在在GU读大二，前几天从学校那收到个EMAIL，大概意思好像说：如果选课错误，导致不能在COE的毕业时间内完成科目，会造成不能顺利毕业等。

因为说的很模糊，我也不懂，就问了问朋友。
结果朋友说是因为澳洲的新政策，如果因为FAIL、选错课等造成延误，不能在COE有效期内完成课程，澳洲政府会以“无故滞留”为由不给续签COE，就得回国了···
我朋友还说她认识一个人就是因为改课了，结果不能在COE有效期内完学完，移民局就不给续签了，就被赶回去了。

听到这个消息后我十分惊讶也比较担心!

虽然说咱会尽努力不FAIL。但是人在江湖飘，难免会因为特殊原因不小心挂科什么的。万一真的不能在COE有效期内修完，难道就要打道回府吗？？

求高手、知情人士帮助解答，是否是这样？

Dear International Student,
You recently received an email sent to all enrolled international students
advising of your enrolment obligations under Australian Law - ESOS Act 2000
and the National Code 2007.
Griffith University records indicate that you may be enrolled in a way that
means you may not be able to complete your degree by the end date on your
CoE.
Please refer to your program structure to determine if you are on
track to complete your program in the required time.

If you are NOT currently enrolled in a way that means you can complete your
degree by the end date on your CoE, you must:
1. amend your current enrolment,
2. have a plan to enrol in future semesters (including summer semester) to
enable you to catch up, and/or
3. if you are experiencing difficulties with your academic progress, please
see an International Student Advisor for assistance and guidance on support
services.


Please remember that an extension of your CoE to complete your degree is
not automatic as you must meet exceptional circumstances for a CoE to be
issued.  Please refer to the National Code of Practice 2007 Part D Standard
9 for details:
